GolfNW.com proudly announces the 2019 Cascadia Shootout golf tournament to be played at two of the best courses in the Northwest and with a tournament host facility second to none. Our courses include Loomis Trail Golf Course (Ranked #5 in the state by Golf Magazine) and Homestead Farms Golf Club (Home of the State’s ONLY Island Par-5). Our Tournament Headquarters and Reception facility will be at the Award Winning Silver Reef Casino Resort.
This 2-day event will be held July 28-29, 2019. Players will play each of the amazing golf courses and have access to post round events throughout the weekend. The tournament features a 2-person Best-Ball format, a valuable tee package for all players, entry into the Skills Challenge and an awards celebration at the end of the second day. This makes for an extremely enjoyable event for both duffers and low handicappers.
Our accommodations partner and Host Hotel is The Silver Reef Hotel Casino. Rooms begin at $119 per night and should be booked directly using an event code we will provide upon registration.
The Shootout will be limited to 120 golfers, or 60, 2-player teams which can be made of all men, all women or a combination. Each will be placed in a division by combined handicap and will play appropriate tees. Once the final field is settled, divisions will be set.
Other highlights include: Round Round 1 Scoring Reception at Loomis Trail, Awards Reception after Day 2 round at Homestead Farms.
This will be unlike any other event in Washington and modeled after the Shootout at PGA West and the Central Oregon Shootout – BUT during the peak summer golf season in Washington State. These courses will be in the best condition of the season and you will not be disappointed.

The Cascadia Shootout is a two-day, 36-hole, team best-ball tournament with one round to be played on each of the three championship courses including Loomis Trail and Homestead Farms Golf Club.
Below is a basic outline of each course. Actual yardage and tee for your division may vary.
Designed by Graham Cooke, Loomis Trail Golf Club is the #5 public golf course in Washington, as rated by GolfWeek. It’s also the only course in Washington State to make the nation’s Top 100. Constructed with the Northwest in mind, Loomis Trail is at the top of the list for year-round play.
The scenic beauty is unsurpassed, and the consistently smooth, fast, and true greens put Loomis Trail among the Northwest’s finest courses. An extensive canal and lake system brings water into play on all 18 holes, giving Loomis Trail one of the highest slope ratings in Washington. The course is open to the public daily.
The spacious, Tudor-style clubhouse offers a full range of services, including a Pro Shop, full-service lounge, snack bar, and banquet facilities. Practice facilities at Loomis Trail include a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and practice bunkers.

WHAT IS THE HONEY POT?
There is an optional daily and event honey pots with cash payouts. There are separate honey pots for each division. The cost is $25 per player per day for each of the two daily honey pots and $25 for the two-day cumulative honey pot – or a total of $75. THESE ARE OPTIONAL – but allow players to win in addition to regular tournament prizes.
WHAT IS THE EVENT FORMAT?
The Cascadia Shootout is a 2-player, net, team event. Teams will play best ball on day one and will play a combined aggregate (total combined net score) on day two (NOTE: On day 2 – double par will be the highest allowable score to keep pace up of play.
It is up to you to find your playing partner. In our other events we have been able to match up singles with enough lead-time. This is the exception but not the rule.
We also welcome couples & female teams. If there are enough couples or enough female teams, we will have separate divisions set up – if not, we will adjust the female players handicaps and tees according to USGA Rules.
Flights and division size will be based on total players entered. We have room for 60, 2-player teams.
WHAT TEES WILL WE PLAY?
Division 1 will play from the blue tees, all others will play from white (or red for ladies)
IS THERE A GROSS DIVISION?
We are not planning on having a gross division this year. However, if we have enough demand, we will create one for those with the lowest team handicaps that might be interested in future events.
As a net event, we reserve the right to retroactively adjust handicaps as needed. In other words, SANDBAGGERS ARE NOT WELCOME.
Our goal is for everyone to have fun and have a fair chance at winning prizes.
WILL THERE BE ON COURSE CONTESTS?
We will have various on-course contests – but our main skills contest will be at the conclusion of round two and will have an additional entry fee of $20 per player. This is an individual contest, not team.

CAN WE ADD DAYS OF BOTH HOTEL AND GOLF EITHER BEFORE OF AFTER?
Absolutely. We do ask that if you are interested in additional nights and rounds, either before or after the event, contact us directly and we will have pricing available and facilitate that for you.
CAN WE BRING A NON-GOLFING GUEST?
Again – Absolutely. There will be a guest fee of $40 per event if they participate in the after-round events. Your hotel rate is based on double occupancy so we will need to work that out as well.
HOW DO WE REGISTER?
You can register in two ways. You can register online and pay directly, or you can pay with a check. We will ONLY accept credit card payments after June 1, 2019.
CANCELATION: We know things happen and plans can change. We do allow cancellation but there is a fee associated with that.
Cancellation prior to July 1, 2019 will be fully refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made between July 1 will not be refunded.
NOTE: ALL refunds will be made within two weeks AFTER the event has concluded and will be sent in a check to the address on the registration.
